This ain’t some self-help fairyland. I’m not here to sell you a “10 Steps to Eternal Happiness” bullshit listicle. Cognitive Shifter was born out of frustration with how shallow everything’s gotten. Books. Podcasts. Advice. Everyone’s just regurgitating the same junk in a different font with a paid partnership slapped on it.
I started this thing because I wanted to scream into the void about how messed up our thinking can be. Not to lecture, but to wrestle with ideas. To call out the mental junk food we swallow without a second thought. If it makes you uncomfortable, good. If it makes you laugh while questioning your whole life, even better.
Forget trying to “solve life” like some guru on mushrooms. I just wanted to capture the moments where a random book smacks you upside the head and forces you to think differently. That’s all this blog is. And if I’m being honest, half of it’s written out of spite for how dumbed down the internet has become.
Who’s behind this? Just a pissed-off reader with too many tabs open. I’m not an expert. I don’t have a PhD in mindfulness. I just think there’s power in asking better questions. And someone has to throw the first punch at the bullshit.
